The winners have been announced! During Kaboom Animation Festival 2025, 13 films were honored with awards, 9 of which can now be seen in the Best of Kaboom on Tour programme!
This screening is free to attend with Cineville. It will take place in our brand-new cinema, which you can find on the side of Kanaal30 (Kanaalweg 30). The entrance is past the gate via the green container: just follow the arrows!

Ze combineert het moederschap met het voltijds verzorgen van haar gehandicapte kind. Als ze dan ook nog eens in een bureaucratisch web verstrikt raakt, kan ze het hoofd nog maar moeilijk koel houden. Regisseur Naomi Noir brengt een sterke ode aan de helden die hun leven volledig toewijden aan de zorg voor anderen.

The sun moves lower and the days grow shorter. Birds fly south, porcelain animals and insects hide from the freezing wind and snow. Only a small porcelain girl wanders the abandoned landscape, with no way out. A wintry poem by director Anu-Laura Tuttelberg about Nordic nature, where animation and the rhythm of nature intertwine.
De zon staat laag en de dagen worden korter. Terwijl vogels naar het zuiden vliegen, schuilen de andere dieren en insecten voor de ijzige kou. Alleen een klein porseleinen meisje dwaalt door het verlaten landschap. Zonder uitweg. Een poëtisch winterverhaal van regisseur Anu-Laura Tuttelberg over de natuur in het hoge noorden, waarin animatie en het ritme van de natuur samensmelten.

You soon discover things aren’t so different from the dark days of the past, when women had to bear responsibility not only for their own actions but also for men’s, facing the consequences alone.
Will You Come With Me? is een kort Berlijns verhaal. Een stad die vrijgevochten lijkt, maar in intieme relaties snel een harde realiteit onthult.Het laat zien dat er bar weinig is veranderd sinds de donkere dagen van vroeger, toen vrouwen niet alleen voor zichzelf, maar ook voor de handelingen van mannen opdraaiden en de gevolgen alleen moesten dragen.

Although she left him, Gaspard is still very much in love with Leïla. When they meet up in a crowded bar a month after their break-up, the conversation takes a bit of an awkward turn. Gaspard feels tears welling up and seeks refuge under the tablecloth, away from the prying eyesand closer to his memories… A touching and honest story by Raphaël Jouzeau, told through vivid yet dreamy animations.
